First Institute of the Semester

The first Institute meeting of the Spring semester was last night. Despite the overwhelming cold, we had a great turnout. It was wonderful to see the usuals, some we hadn't seen in a while, and a few new faces. We were also joined last night by some of the graduating seminary students from the Owingsville ward. As Colonel said, the pizza probably helped.

Following the pizza, we got down to the lesson. As we had spent so much time eating and socializing, the lesson was a short one, but it set up what we will be studying over the next few weeks. Sister Hughes presented us with an introduction to John, discussing why the this book is different from the other Gospels. Next week we will begin with John Chapters 1-8, with several members of class preparing materials to present.

As always, Colonel had his camera snapping pictures. Several of them can be found here.

Family Home Evening will be held at 7:30pm on Tuesday at the home of David and Megean. Our next Institute meeting will be at 7:00pm in the Eagle Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of ADUC. Hope to see everyone there.
